I’ve seen a daily Dilbert application before, but www.clickwheel.net have done a nice application for the iPhone with which you can read tailored comics a frame at a time. At least Judge Dredd is on, so you could giggle at the grumpy guy on the way to the work. 



Having recently commuted to world of Steve Jobs believers (I bought a mac), I have some expectations for the iPhone and might even consider buying one when they land on these shores, despite the technical limitations it has.
